Questions About the Health Care Bill

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Things that make you go hmmmm!

1) If you start raising taxes immediately for benefits that do not start until 2014, what's to keep Congress from spending the money in the meantime?

2) If one of the rationales for a government take over of health coverage is that "123 people die every day without insurance", what rationale is there to delay implementation until 2014, since an additional 180,000 people will die?

3) If a tax on "Cadillac" health plans is needed to fund the program, and Congress delays raising taxes on Union "Cadillac" health plans to 40 percent until 2018 because of Union objections, what guarantee is there that a future Congress will not roll over then as well?

4) If the hurry was to pass this lemon on Sunday so that Obama could sign it before he left the country, since his trip has been delayed until June, why can't the House take that extra time to debate and vote up or down on the Senate bill?

There are more, but, since I doubt that anyone will answer these four satisfactorily, I'll stop there for now.
