"America is Back"

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

My question is: When did we leave?

The very French looking John Kerry (btw, did you know that he served in Viet Nam?) presiding over the U S Senate Foreign Relations Committee oozed the following statement (in part):

We're delighted to welcome Senator Clinton, Secretary of State- designate. In Senator Clinton, we have a nominee who is extraordinarily capable and smart, an individual with the global stature and influence to help shape events. She will take office on a first-name basis not just with numerous heads of state, but also with the billions of people in every corner of the globe that the Obama Administration hopes to reach, inspire, and influence. Her presence overseas will send a strong signal that America is back.

Back from where? Stronger than freeing Afghanistan and Iraq with American blood and treasure? What a maroon!
Did someone wake the junior senator from Taxachusetts before his nap was finished? This committee meeting was a gigantic snooze love fest with Democrats bestowing accolades upon one another rather than grilling the nominee over anything of substance.

Get ready for four years of squishy liberalism at its finest!
